what sonicture is

every song has a structure you can hear but can’t see. sonicture makes it visible.
a sonicture is a computational portrait of a song. it maps pitch to colour, loudness to thickness, rhythm to percussive geometry, and vocal melody to a white thread that spirals through its rings. centre is beginning, edge is end. it grows outward like tree rings, one ring for each moment the music strikes.
the image is measured, not interpreted. every colour, thickness, and gap is computed from the audio by fixed rules: the same song always produces the same picture, and you can listen and check what each one claims about the music. the picture is math.
the reading is where meaning lives. each portrait comes with a written reading that connects the shape to what the song means and how it feels. the aim is simple: to meet you inside a song you already love. the readings are written by see music, a voice of carbon and silicon.
